I have always wanted to have an actual workout and wellness plan, but was never motivated to actually get started. Why? Who knows. Most of the time my excuse was that I was just too busy with school and music to commit to a plan. Seems crazy for someone who is in high school, but I seriously feel like I always overcommit myself to “stuff”.
This blog is a way to keep myself accountable to my personal goals and share my journey. I can’t promise you I will have a set routine, but I do hope to make health and wellness part of every day. To be honest, that is really what matters. For me, its about doing something healthy each and every day.
So, what did I decide on today? PLANKS! Starting with planks seemed like an easy way to begin. I didn’t need a gym, it was a really nice day outside, and they look easy enough to do. Every fitness website I viewed when developing my workout plan talked about the benefits of planks. Planks are one of the most effective exercises you can do since they require a small amount of time and offer the chance to achieve good results in a relatively quickly.
Ok. So. These are harder than they look. Just being honest! Twenty seconds felt like 5 minutes! I waited a few minutes between them, but did three sets of planks for 20 seconds each. Not bad for a first day.
